Highlights from a week of partnerships, side-events, and bold ideas

KBW 2025 Recap: Building DeFi’s Future in Seoul - Mark Lee CMO at SynFutures

Seoul has always been a powerhouse for crypto adoption, and Korea Blockchain Week (KBW) once again proved why. From packed side-events to deep conversations with builders, KBW 2025 was a reminder of just how fast DeFi and Web3 are evolving in Asia.

Connecting with the Community

Throughout the week, we met with partners, traders, and some of the most promising names in DeFi.

From fiery panels to spontaneous late-night conversations, the energy around DeFi was impossible to miss, whether at the KBW or the side events.

Together with friends and partners like Gelato, Backpack, Switchboard, Across, Halborn, and Monad, we hosted and joined gatherings that sparked meaningful conversations and strengthened ties across the community.

For those who stopped by to meet the team IRL, there was also a sneak peek at what’s coming next: a major SynFutures upgrade set to launch in Q4 this year.

Sharing those previews in person made the week even more special, and gave us the chance to gather direct feedback from our most engaged community members.

Monday Trade, our incubated DEX on Monad also joined ecosystem events, underlining the growing importance of high-performance infrastructure for the future of onchain trading.

It was a pleasure to share our vision, exchange ideas, and celebrate the progress of DeFi alongside so many aligned builders.

What We Learned & What’s Next

If there’s one takeaway from KBW 2025, it’s that Asia continues to lead the charge in crypto adoption. For SynFutures, KBW was both a reflection of how far we’ve come and a glimpse into where we’re headed. The relationships forged in Seoul will fuel what comes next, and we’re more excited than ever to keep building.
